Terms and Conditions
Last updated 20 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of Focus Sutra when you use it. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
The service
Focus Sutra lets you keep a list of tasks, run a timer on each, and review the time you tracked. It is meant for your own personal use. We may improve, change or remove features at any time.
Your account
- Give accurate details, and confirm your email address with the code we send.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- break the law, or use the service to harm or harass anyone;
- try to get around security, access other people's data, or probe the service for weaknesses;
- overload the service, or use bots, scripts or automated sign-ups against it;
- put anything in your task names that you don't have the right to store.
Your content
You own the task names and time records you enter. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can run the service for you. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
How tracking works — and its limits
Timing runs in your browser and is saved to our servers as you go. Time is only tracked while the page is open, and a crash or a lost connection can lose up to roughly half a minute of the most recent time. The tracked day resets at 5:00 AM India Standard Time. Please don't rely on Focus Sutra as the only record for anything with legal or financial consequences, such as billing or payroll.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but don't promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. We may suspend or change it, for example for maintenance.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service at any time, and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or opportunity arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of this site is established, and disputes are for the courts there, except where mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
